United Nations Women: 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence Against Women & Girls

    November 26th to December 10th, 2022

Globally, statistics reveal that one in three women has been subjected to gender-based violence. In reality, survivors of gender-based violence require immense bravery to move forward and overcome the traumas inflicted upon them, and effective support programs established by activists require thoughtful and realistic strategies.

In the “16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence Against Women & Girls (Activism! UNiTE to end violence against women and girls)” of 2022, the United Nations Women's Office launched the “To Be Light In The Dark” exhibition, inviting individuals to delve deeper into the exhibition and connect with the narratives of survivors and activists through the captivating lens of art.
