The exhibition, curated by Cloud House for “和 Flow”, a unique space nestled deep within Wudaoying Hutong in Beijing's Dongcheng District, delves into the profound essence of logistics. It transcends the basic transportation of goods, embodying a transformative force that fosters human connection through enhanced communication and exchange. Once hindered by the limitations of physical distance, the advancement of logistics has now dismantled these barriers, facilitating the seamless and instantaneous exchange of information across temporal and spatial boundaries.

Our exhibition, themed around "The Communication Needs of Human Society in Chinese History," explores the historical role of logistics in fostering human connection through five thematic units. It takes visitors on a journey through time, showcasing China's enduring quest for efficient communication.

Animal Messengers reveals early communication through the use of animals like pigeons and horses to carry vital messages, highlighting their crucial role in bridging distances.

Express Posts illustrates the ancient Chinese system for swift communication, where networks of post stations and couriers accelerated the delivery of information and goods.

Water and Horse Posts examines the postal services along waterways, demonstrating how they facilitated rapid long-distance communication, essential for trade and cultural exchange.

Modern Development presents the evolution of postal services in the modern era, enhanced by technological advancements in transportation and communication, meeting the demands of a globalized world.

The Future Has Arrived envisions future postal services shaped by innovation in drones, IoT, and AI, addressing the escalating social needs for connectivity. The exhibition, featuring artifacts, multimedia, and interactive displays, vividly demonstrates logistics' significance in societal development and its role beyond commerce as a catalyst for human interaction.
