    The 2nd Edition of “Choi Foundation Contemporary Art Award” Exhibition

    On May 15, the second Laoshan International Spring Tea Festival was held at Choi Centre Cloud House. Attendees included Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Deng Li, Vice President of the China Public Diplomacy Association Qiu Xiaoqi, CPPCC member and Chairman of the Hong Kong Chinese General Chamber of Commerce Jonathan Choi, Director of the Yunnan Provincial Foreign Affairs Office Zhang Shijin, Wenshan Prefecture Vice Governor Chen Zhicheng, Malipo County Party Secretary Feng Rui, Arab League Ambassador to China Ahmed Mustafa Hafez, and UNICEF China Representative Amakobe Sande. Ambassadors, provincial leaders, experts, business representatives, and media from home and abroad also attended.

     

    Speeches were given by Deng Li, Qiu Xiaoqi, Jonathan Choi, Zhang Shijin, Feng Rui, Vice President of the Yunnan Tea Circulation Association Yang Haihui, and Assistant Secretary-General of the China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation Li Yiming.

     

    Malipo County, located in southeastern Wenshan Prefecture, Yunnan Province, is ideal for wild and cultivated tea due to its three-dimensional climate and biodiversity. Supported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, "Laoshan Tea" has reached the world stage, included in the "National Gift Catalog" and widely gifted internationally.

     

    At the opening, the "Laoshan Tea" standard was released, the Malipo Ancient Tree Tea Protection and Development Research Center was established, and a "Diplomats' Tea Forum" was held. The sweet and fragrant "Laoshan Tea" received high praise from ambassadors and tea lovers.
