Canada's Travelling Photography Conference
July 9th, 2026
The essence of travel lies not merely in reaching a destination, but in the anticipation before departure and the stories shared upon return.
In October 2022, The Choi Centre Cloud House hosted a travel sharing event blending spectacular visuals and intellectual exchanges. Co-organised by Walk & Insight and Destination Canada, the theme of the event “Inspired Travellers” brought Canada’s breathtaking landscapes and travel narratives to an autumn afternoon in Beijing.
Ms. Li Wei, China Manager and Asia & Pacific General Manager of Destination Canada, is presented in the event. Together with distinguished guests, she outlined future vision of travelling and showcased the limitless possibilities of Canada.
During the conference, BOBO, Founder of Walk & Insight, presented two exclusive premium Canadian travel itineraries: the Polar Bear Expedition and Autumn Fairy Tale Journey. From in-depth explorations of Banff’s iconic wilderness, aurora-chasing beneath starry skies, to scenic rail journeys across the Rockies — each route encapsulates the natural wonders sprawling across Canada’s vast terrain.
Complementing the talks, an exhibition of Canadian landscape and wildlife photography transported guests to this faraway land through imagery. Mr. Yuan Tao, a long-time collaborator of Walk & Insight and accredited photographer for the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), shared his expertise and techniques for shooting Canada’s wildlife and natural scenery. From composition and lighting technique to patience and decisive capture, every frame embodies profound reverence and affection for nature.
Beyond the visual feast, attendees were invited to sample authentic Canadian ice wine. Taking sips from the mellow vintage, guests exchanged aspirations for distant journeys.
The end of one sharing conference marks the beginning of countless new possibilities. The Choi Centre Cloud House is dedicated to dissolving cultural divides. From polar ink paintings by Liang Xueying to framed snapshots of the Rocky Mountains, Eastern and Western aesthetics, art and travel converge here to form a cohesive cultural narrative. Moving forward, the Cloud House will keep fostering encounters, dialogues and organic growth between diverse cultures.
